Home Care Supervisor - Kildare Region

About the Role
As a Home Care Supervisor, you will be integral to a high‑performing team, leading staff, developing care plans, and monitoring care quality. The role demands strong organisational skills, excellent communication, and solid IT proficiency.

Key Responsibilities
* Report directly to the Home Care Manager.
* Conduct spot checks and client reviews to evaluate care quality.
* Keep staff informed of company policies and updates.
* Carry out client assessments, maintain records on the IT system.
* Liaise between the company, clients, and families.
* Ensure client home files are properly maintained.
* Coordinate staff shadowing and scheduling, ensuring Health & Safety compliance.
* Provide emergency cover for new care packages and hospital discharges.
* Support care team development and training.
* Collect journal notes and deliver care supplies to client homes.
* Assist with Healthcare Assistant recruitment alongside HR.
* Maintain online system documentation and update spot‑check schedules.
* Develop weekly work plans with the Home Care Manager and support scheduling during emergencies.
* Attend weekly team meetings and support regional growth initiatives.
* Weekly liaison with weekend scheduler and manage shadow call sign‑offs.
* Provide emergency care calls to cover staff absenteeism.
* Plan and manage weekly time management tasks.
Essential Requirements
* Relevant health or social care background.
* Full QQI Level 6 Major Award in Healthcare Support or equivalent qualification.
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
* Valid full clean driving licence with access to a vehicle.
* Availability for a 5‑out‑of‑7‑day schedule.
* Outstanding interpersonal skills with an empathetic approach.
* Proficient IT skills, particularly Microsoft Office.
* Strong organisational capabilities and efficient time management.
