The Rose Hotel is a luxury four‑star hotel located in Tralee, Co Kerry. It boasts 161 spacious and light‑filled rooms, including Classic, Executive, Deluxe, Triple, Family, Junior Suite and Master Suite accommodations. The Serenity Spa features three bespoke treatment rooms, a waterwall in the relaxation room, steam room, sauna, and offers ELEMIS skincare therapy.
Role and Responsibilities
* To manage the day-to-day running of the Spa.
* To lead and manage the team, overseeing training, customer service and performance.
* To maintain high standards of guest satisfaction and inspire the team to do the same.
* To deliver revenue and profitability targets.
* Drive business growth through new marketing initiatives and partnerships in collaboration with the Sales & Marketing Department.
* To collaborate closely with other hotel departments to enhance the guest experience, especially for conference bookings.
* This is a hands‑on role; the successful candidate must be able to work in all areas of the spa, i.e., reception and carry out treatments.
* Create and implement spa policies and annual marketing strategies.
* Conduct employee job chats and appraisals and work closely with the Financial Controller to participate in budgeting and forecasting.
* To manage stock levels, review product lines, and implement systems to increase sales and profitability.
* To recruit, train and develop the Spa staff to ensure compliance in recruitment/onboarding.
Candidate Requirements
* Minimum of 3–4 years experience in a spa environment, including at least one year in a management or supervisory role.
* Hands‑on experience as a Spa Therapist with knowledge of treatments.
* Experience with ELEMIS skincare preferred but not essential.
* Excellent interpersonal skills.
* Strong leadership and customer‑service skills, with the ability to motivate a team and deliver exceptional guest experiences.
