Maintenance Technician Job Description
The Maintenance Technician will be responsible for maintaining, improving and installing equipment across the production and packaging areas to ensure optimal plant performance and reliability.
* Compliance & Safety:
o Ensure full compliance with all Health & Safety, Environmental and Quality standards.
o Maintain a safe and organized work area in line with 5S principles.
o Promote a safety-first culture and report any hazards, incidents or non-compliances promptly.
* Technical & Operational:
o Perform statutory and electrical compliance checks and support planned shutdown maintenance.
o Record all maintenance activities using the Computerised Maintenance Management System (CMMS), ensuring accurate reporting and job traceability.
* Continuous Improvement:
o Contribute to the plants Continuous Improvement (CI) and Focused Improvement programmes.
o Use structured problem-solving tools (5 Whys, RCA) to analyze breakdowns and prevent recurrence.
o Monitor equipment performance and implement measures to reduce losses and waste.
