Business Development Manager, Air & Sea

DSV are recruiting for a Business Development Manager. The BDM will the strengthen market position by locating, developing, defining, promoting, negotiating, and securing new business for DSV Air & Sea.
They will promote DSV Air & Sea services to potential clients with a view to developing a winning client experience through demonstrating our strong Air & Sea Capabilities. This will include offering value added services such as our sustainability initiatives, continuous improvements etc,
Key Tasks
* Develop, and secure new Air & Sea freight business with a focus on long-term strategic customers.
* Deliver sales targets and maintain a strong pipeline of opportunities.
* Build and manage relationships with key importers/exporters, ensuring best-in-class customer service.
* Collaborate with Tender Management and Product teams to create and present competitive proposals.
* Conduct regular face-to-face meetings with major customers and provide market and competitor insights.
* Update Microsoft dynamics with leads, appointments, and opportunities, ensuring accurate reporting.
* Uphold compliance, health & safety, and company standards at all times.
Skills and Competencies
* Proven track record of gaining and closing new major business within freight forwarding.
* Strong background in Air and/or Sea Freight Sales.
* Excellent relationship-building and networking skills with key importers/exporters in the region.
* Strong commercial awareness and negotiation skills at a senior level.
* Self-starter with a proactive “hunter” mindset, drive, and ambition.
* Ability to organize, prioritize, and manage time effectively.
* Excellent written and spoken English, with strong presentation and communication skills.
* Experience working with tenders, proposals, and systems.
