Responsibilities
Support engineering requirements by managing and liaising with key project stakeholders (client design team, main contractor, suppliers, sub-contractors, etc.).
Familiarise with design/IFC specifications and drawings to fully understand project scope.
Contribute to the coordination process to transform design information into full installation drawings, ensuring spec compliance and alignment with schedule priority.
Align engineering activities with the project construction schedule (e.g., procurement).
Create and issue technical submittals, track approvals.
Engage vendors for technical support and value-engineering solutions.
Manage material procurement using the Engineering Materials Report (EMR), producing take-offs, identifying lead times and field need rates.
Track equipment procurement and delivery to site.
Ensure works are installed in accordance with project specifications and the QA plan.
Conduct site audits to verify compliance with processes and procedures.
Prepare and agree on project completion criteria and close-out documents.
Prepare subcontract and supplier tender packages with the Project QS.
Manage work packs from development through implementation and handover.
Handle BIM priorities (isometrics generation and release).
Liaise with clients and produce reports for directors and other stakeholders.
Schedule meetings and training sessions as required.
Coordinate with client project management teams and contractors to ensure designs meet legal and regulatory requirements.
Provide technical support to the construction team during the building phase of projects.
Candidate Requirements
6+ years of experience working with a recognised mechanical contractor in process mechanical/pipework.
Proficiency in Navisworks and related database systems for engineering functions.
Experience with Project/Primavera planning software and CAD/BIM processes.
Excellent organisational and project-planning skills.
Team-player attitude.
Strong negotiation, problem-solving and decision-making capabilities.
