My client is seeking a Bookkeeper to join their finance team on a part time basis for an initial 3-month contract. This role involves managing day-to-day accounting and bookkeeping functions to ensure accurate financial records and smooth financial operations.
Responsibilities:
* Manage daily bookkeeping activities, including processing of purchase and sales invoices, and performing bank reconciliations.
* Accurately code and post financial transactions using Xero accounting software.
* Process supplier payments and perform credit control duties.
* Complete monthly bank reconciliations in a timely and accurate manner.
* Assist in the preparation and processing of month-end financial accounts.
* Support the statutory audit process by preparing and supplying necessary documentation.
* Handle financial queries from members and support general financial administration.
* Maintain accurate financial records and deliver timely, reliable financial data to support decision-making.
* Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities.
Requirements:
* Minimum of 2–3 years’ experience in a similar finance or accounting role.
* Proficiency in Xero accounting software.
* Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
* Flexible and adaptable to changing tasks and business needs.
