The company was established in the late 1950's and operates from two plants in Monksland, Athlone.The company currently requires an experienced Quality Controller for our production floor. The successful candidate will be extremely efficient and organised, with strong people skills.Responsibilities and DutiesWork closely with quality & production personnel to implement and champion food safety & quality standards within a busy production settingCarry out quality checks and product sampling to ensure finished product qualityCarry out traceability checksCarry out personnel checks to ensure all staff are complying with hygiene rulesGMP, Glass & Perspex, Hygiene & Housekeeping auditingTemperature, scales, probe, metal detector checksInvestigation of customer complaints and non-conformance issuesCorrective and preventive actionsStaff trainingExperienceExperience in a QC role is essentialBRC/ Bord Bia experience preferred.Excellent communication skillsExcellent attention to detailOrganised team player with the ability to work to deadlines and under pressureComfortable working in a fast paced environment and flexible to the needs of the business.Fluent written & spoken English.Applicants from outside the EU must have relevant work visas in placeJob Type: Full-timeBenefits:On-site parkingWork Location: In person
