Peter Pan Childcareis seeking a caring and energetic Afterschool Assistant to support our school-age children each afternoon in a fun, safe and inclusive learning environment.
Location: Donabate Type: Part-time – 30 hours per week Company: Peter Pan Childcare Key Responsibilities Supervise and engage children aged 4–12 in daily afterschool activities Pick up children from school and ensure safe arrival to the centre Assist with homework and encourage positive behaviour Plan and propose creative, age-appropriate activities Promote children's wellbeing, confidence and inclusion Room setup before children arrive Clean and reset the room at the end of the day Ensure compliance with Tusla standards and centre policies Work collaboratively with the team and communicate openly with parents Required Qualifications & Skills Intermediate level of English (verbal and written)Paediatric First Aid Children's First Child Protection Training Manual Handling Experience working with children in early years/afterschool setting Excellent teamwork, communication, creativity, and resilience EU Passport / Right to Work in Ireland Reliable, responsible and genuinely passionate about working with children What We Offer Warm and supportive team atmosphere Guaranteed 30 hours per week Training and career development opportunities A child-centred workplace where ideas and initiative are valued
