Energy Project Manager (Public Sector) - Meath
A public sector organization is seeking an Energy Project Manager to join their Capital and Estates department based in Kells, Meath.
The successful candidate will be responsible for Climate Action and Sustainability initiatives within the region, working closely with the local Energy Officer and leading efforts to engage staff and Green Teams, manage budgets, and oversee projects related to estate management. Key priorities include advancing Climate Action goals, fostering green environments, conserving water, reducing waste, and supporting sustainable infrastructure development.
This is an initial 1-year contract role with potential for extension and permanency.

Responsibilities:
* Drive regional Climate Action and Sustainability efforts, focusing on reducing carbon emissions, conserving water, minimizing waste, and promoting greener spaces.
* Collaborate with staff and Green Teams to implement eco-friendly practices across facilities such as hospitals and health centers.
* Manage budgets and projects, including sustainability funding and public procurement processes.
* Act as the main contact for internal teams and external partners, including community health organizations.
* Provide technical expertise for sustainability-focused maintenance in healthcare facilities.
* Ensure compliance with sustainability guidelines and assist teams in achieving climate action targets.
Requirements:
Hold a Level 8 (or higher) QQI major award in Engineering, Science, or Technology accredited by a relevant professional body such as Engineers Ireland.
OR
Full membership of Engineers Ireland or similar professional association.
And
At least 5 years of relevant experience in planning, design, project management, or construction related to buildings or climate action in the public sector.
