EFlexes Recruitment are currently recruiting on behalf of a Shannon-based client for an Accounts Associate (Accounts Receivable) to join their Shared Services Centre on a permanent basis.The Accounts Associate will provide a high-quality service to the Group Shared Services Centre, supporting the wider business through efficient and timely transaction processing and back-office services, with a primary focus on credit control within the Accounts Receivable function. This role requires an adaptable individual with a flexible, hands‑on approach to work.Key Areas of ResponsibilityOngoing proactive cash collection and credit control management, including escalation of overdue accounts where requiredParticipation in monthly aged debt review meetings with management and provision of updates on key accountsDaily banking activities and accurate allocation of customer payments, including reconciliation of debtor accountsMonthly direct debit processing and resolution of related queriesMonth‑end Accounts Receivable close procedures, including journals and bank reconciliationsPreparation and issuing of customer invoices, credit notes, and account statements as requiredProactive query resolution with timely turnaround and escalation where necessaryProviding assistance and cover for other Shared Services Centre team membersDeveloping and maintaining strong working relationships with key stakeholdersIdentifying process improvements through automation and new systems to improve efficiency and accuracyEngaging with internal and external auditors as requiredSupporting ad‑hoc analysis and one‑off projectsCarrying out any additional duties as assignedQualifications, Skills and ExperienceThe ideal candidate will have:Proven experience in a high‑volume accounts environmentStrong experience within Accounts Receivable and/or credit control functionsQualification by experience will be considered for candidates with relevant backgroundExperience using ERP systems; Yardi or Oracle experience is desirableDemonstrated ability to meet deadlines, coordinate activities, and escalate risks/issues appropriatelyStrong analytical and problem‑solving skills with excellent attention to detailAbility to proactively identify issues and propose effective solutionsExcellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to work independently and as part of a teamA self‑starter mindset with the ability to work on own initiative and a flexible, hands‑on approach
