Job Title
Clinical Specialist Speech and Language Therapist required for a permanent position in an adult acute neurology service, encompassing stroke patients in Co. Louth.
This is a specialist clinical role where you will be responsible for conducting advanced assessments, diagnoses, and intervention programs for patients with complex communication and/or swallowing disorders post-stroke.
Key responsibilities include providing specialist support and information in relation to communication and /or feeding, eating drinking and swallowing disorders etc... To service users and relevant others.
Highly specialist clinical decisions will be made following assessment of complex cases. Additionally, you will actively engage with professional bodies and academic institutions to further develop services as well as clinical excellence and research.
A Clinical Lead within the speech and language team, you will provide support, mentorship, and guidance to colleagues.

Requirements
* A recognised qualification as a Speech and Language Therapist with CORU registration or eligibility for same.
* A minimum of 5 years post-qualification clinical experience, with a strong background in the assessment and management of adult neurology, acute stroke and/or stroke rehabilitation patients.
* Experience in dysphagia assessment and management, preferably qualified in same.
* Excellent leadership and service development skills.
