This is a pivotal position within the delivery team, responsible for managing all on-site activities, overseeing project performance, and ensuring the smooth coordination between engineering, commercial, and operational teams. The ideal candidate will bring a balance of technical knowledge, leadership capability, and strong communication skills. Key Duties & Responsibilities Take ownership of daily site operations and ensure all works are executed safely, efficiently, and to specification. Supervise and coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, and direct labour teams. Drive progress against project milestones and contractual deliverables. Oversee material procurement, logistics, and planning of site resources. Manage all commercial and operational aspects of project delivery, including cost control and reporting. Liaise closely with the client, design consultants, and local authorities to maintain clear lines of communication. Support the wider team on programme management, quality assurance, and HSQE compliance. Contribute to progress meetings, reporting, and stakeholder updates. Candidate Profile Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction or relevant qualification. Minimum of 5 years experience in a site or project management role within civil engineering, utilities, or public realm works. Background in Public Works Contracts (PWC) is a bonus but not essential. Strong commercial awareness and a proven ability to lead multidisciplinary teams. Excellent communication, coordination, and organisational skills. Confident decision-maker with a solutions-focused mindset. Proficient in project management tools and Microsoft Office applications.
