We're looking for an experienced HR Business Partner to take ownership of our Dublin and Belfast operations, someone who combines strategic thinking with genuine operational credibility, and who thrives in a complex, fast-moving environment.
The Role
You'll act as the HR lead across both sites, partnering closely with operational management to deliver people strategies that drive real business performance. This is a visible, influential position with genuine scope.
Key responsibilities include:
Managing the full employee relations spectrum, disciplinaries, grievances, appeals, TUPE transfers and redundancies - with sound judgement and a thorough understanding of Irish employment law
Building and maintaining effective working relationships with trade unions. You will lead consultation, negotiation and dispute resolution with the confidence and credibility that only comes from hands‑on experience in unionised environments
Representing the business through formal union processes - including recognition agreements, collective bargaining and pay negotiations - where your track record will be essential from day one
Navigating complex union dynamics alongside commercial priorities, ensuring the business can move forward whilst maintaining constructive, trust‑based relationships with employee representatives
Leading recruitment planning and delivery across both sites, from labour forecasting to offer stage alongside business leadership.
Coaching and developing the management team, building long‑term people capability
Driving and supporting change management initiatives as the business evolves.
What We're Looking For
CIPD qualified, with substantial HR Partnering experience
Demonstrable experience operating in a unionised environment - this is non‑negotiable
Strong working knowledge of Irish employment law and complex ER case management
Commercial acumen — an ability to connect people strategy to business outcomes
Resilient, assertive and respected by operational stakeholders
