Intermediate
Developer
to help grow our business and contribute to our future.
The Intermediate Developer is responsible for the design, build test, implement and maintain software solutions while ensuring reliability and scalability all while following the software development life cycle.
Role Overview
We are seeking an Intermediate Level, Support Developer who enjoys working close to real customers and real systems. This role is focused on maintaining, improving, and extending existing applications, resolving issues, implementing change requests, and ensuring a high-quality experience for our clients.
The successful candidate will be comfortable working in a support-driven environment where bug fixes, refactoring, technical debt reduction, and customer-driven enhancements are core to the work. You will collaborate closely with internal teams and, when required, engage directly with customers to understand issues and deliver practical solutions.
Key Responsibilities
* Develop and maintain application code using object-oriented programming principles, primarily within existing codebases.
* Investigate, troubleshoot, debug, and resolve production and non-production issues with a strong focus on root cause analysis and long-term fixes.
* Implement fixes, refactoring, and customer change requests while considering business impact, risk, and customer experience.
* Write and maintain SQL scripts to investigate issues, support fixes, and implement data-related changes safely.
* Work closely with Support, Project Management, Business Analysts, QA, and DevOps to ensure issues and changes are delivered accurately and efficiently.
* Assist with scoping and estimating support tasks, fixes, and small enhancements, helping to break work into manageable components.
* Contribute to the ongoing improvement of system stability, performance, and maintainability.
* Maintain and update technical documentation to support ongoing maintenance, troubleshooting, and future enhancements.
* Participate in incident resolution and post-issue reviews, recommending improvements to prevent recurrence.
* Support planning, deployment, and release activities as part of the broader software lifecycle.
Position Requirements
* BSc degree in Computer Science or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
* 3–5 years' experience in software development, application support, or a hybrid development/support role.
* Experience working in and improving existing production systems.
* Proficiency in C# and .NET frameworks.
* Strong SQL scripting skills (MS SQL) — must be comfortable writing, reviewing, and troubleshooting queries, views, and stored procedures.
* Working knowledge of Angular, including maintaining and enhancing existing front-end functionality.
* Experience writing and consuming APIs.
* Comfortable writing simple, clear, and maintainable code rather than complex or over-engineered solutions.
* Working knowledge of:
* Azure DevOps
* Git
* JavaScript, CSS, LESS
* IIS
* Experience working with databases, including views, stored procedures, triggers, and user-defined data types (UDTs).
* Strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to work independently on issue resolution.
* Good communication skills and the ability to engage with non-technical stakeholders when required.
