We work across both the HSE and the private sector, and we are hiring a Business Development Manager to lead new client growth across the Republic of Ireland. The role combines time on the road meeting clients with home-based working and time at our Dublin office. You will be responsible for opening new accounts, developing long-term commercial relationships, and growing business across both divisions of the group. What you will be doing * Leading new business development across Ireland, generating meetings and converting them into client accounts * Building and managing a territory plan covering HSE acute hospitals, private hospitals, nursing homes, primary care, prison healthcare, Section 38/39 organisations and clinic groups * Presenting the full Emerald offering - nursing, HCA, theatre, social care, NCHDs, Consultants, GPs and allied health - and matching the right service to each client * Meeting with Directors of Nursing, Procurement Leads, Medical Directors, Practice Managers and General Managers * Negotiating and closing framework agreements, PSL placements and direct supply arrangements * Working closely with our internal recruitment and bookings teams so every account is delivered to a high standard * Maintaining accurate pipeline and CRM data, with weekly reporting against agreed KPIs * Representing Emerald at industry events, conferences and tender opportunities About you * Track record in B2B sales or business development, ideally in healthcare, recruitment or another high-value services sector * Confident opening new accounts and developing relationships with senior decision-makers * Strong commercial instincts and the ability to lead a client meeting * Clear, professional written and verbal communication * Well-organised and self-motivated, with the discipline to manage your own diary, territory and pipeline * Full clean Irish driving licence (essential) and willingness to travel across Ireland * Strong advantage: working knowledge of the Irish healthcare landscape - HSE structures, Section 38/39 bodies, private hospital groups, nursing home operators and procurement frameworks What we offer * Base salary €35,000 - €45,000 depending on experience * Performance bonuses and uncapped commission on new accounts * OTE €75,000 - €100,000+ * Hybrid working - a mix of home, field and Dublin office * All field expenses, mileage and travel covered * Mobile phone and laptop * 22 days' annual leave plus public holidays, increasing with each year of service * Company pension contribution * Modern Dublin HQ at 28-32 Pembroke Street Upper, D02 NT28 * Genuine progression - Emerald is in a strong growth phase across both divisions, with direct visibility to senior leadership About Emerald Nursing Emerald Nursing Limited (CRO 606340) is an established, EA-licensed Irish healthcare staffing group (EA Licence 4154) operating two specialist divisions: Emerald Nursing, supplying temporary and contract nursing, HCA, theatre and social care staff; and Emerald Locums, supplying medical and allied health professionals to hospitals, clinics and primary care.
