Job Description
We are seeking a seasoned Senior Operations Director to oversee the daily operations of our properties. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in managing large-scale hotel or aparthotel operations and driving revenue growth through strategic commercial initiatives.
This role requires a strong leader who can foster a positive and inclusive work environment, inspire and motivate teams, and adapt effectively under pressure.
The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring all departments operate within brand Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), monitoring and taking action to any feedback within a timely manner.
Key Responsibilities:
* Support all Heads of Department (HODs) in running the property, including front office, housekeeping, maintenance, sales and revenue.
* Regularly evaluate individual and team performance against their goals to drive a high-performance culture.
* Produce forecasts for revenues and costs and monitor that these are maintained within budgetary constraints.
* Ensure the hotel complies with all legislation and statutory regulations regarding Health and Safety (H&S).
* Cultivate collaborative relationships with other departments, fostering effective communication and teamwork across the organization.
Requirements:
To succeed in this role, you will need:
* A minimum of 5+ years' senior level experience as a General Manager gained in large-scale hotel or aparthotel operations.
* Demonstrated previous success in driving substantial, sustained revenue through the strategic management of commercial initiatives.
* Humble and approachable, fostering a positive and inclusive work environment.
* Forward-thinking and innovative, always looking for opportunities to improve operations.
* Self-motivated and able to inspire and lead the team effectively.
* Energetic, flexible, and adaptable to changing circumstances.
* Possesses a keen eye for detail and is highly organized.
A bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management or a related field is preferred.
