We are recruiting an experienced Front-of-Shop assisstant for our busy, independent family owned community pharmacy in Templeogue.This is a 1 year contract, which commences beginning of January 2026. This is a part time position (3-4 days per week ,depending on need of the business). You will be required to work 1 Saturday in 3 (10am to 5pm). No late nights, no Sundays or Bank Holidays. There is an excellent support team to help cater to a steady flow of customers.As Front-of-Shop assistant you will be responsible for:· managing the OTC counter and shop floor sales· you will frequently be the first point of contact for our valued customers.· All OTC ordering and shop floor buyingTo support you in this we offer: modern electronic point of sale, fully online ordering and stock control system and electronic shelf edge labelsWhat we're looking for:· Ability to work as part of the team as well as on your own initiative· Good time management· Strong customer service skills· A friendly and hard working nature· A positive attitude towards work· Excellent communication and interpersonal skillsWhat we require:· At least three years previous pharmacy experienceThe responsibilities of the role will include:· Managing daily activities at OTC counter and shop floor such as ordering, stock rotation· Manging OTC sales staff· Liaising with support office regarding training, planogram updates and special promotions, offers and in-store promotions· Receiving prescriptions for dispensing and handing out dispensed prescriptions.· Giving advice on and sale of OTC medicines and referral to the pharmacist where appropriate.· Assisting with the pharmacy claim each month· Management of pharmacy stock.· Maintaining a clean and well-presented shop floor and counter areaJob Types: Part-time, ContractContract length: 12 monthsPay: €14.15-€15.00 per hourBenefits:Employee discountFlexitimeOn-site parkingStore discountExperience:Pharmacy sales: 1 year (required)Language:English (required)Work authorisation:Ireland (required)Work Location: In person
