Registration with the VCI
At least 2 years’ experience in farm animal practice
Strong communication and teamwork skills
Self-motivation and the ability to work independently

About the role
A well-established mixed practice in Kilkenny is seeking to expand its team with a motivated Farm or Mixed Animal Vet (farm bias preferred). The practice has been serving the local community for over 30 years and currently operates with a dedicated team of 6 full-time and 1 part-time vets. Approximately 80% of the caseload is farm animal work, with a particular emphasis on dairy, in an area with more than 40,000 dairy cows under care.
This role offers the chance to join a collaborative and supportive team, where herd health planning and in-depth investigations are a core part of the service. The position would particularly suit a certificate holder, or someone with a strong interest in herd health and ambitions to pursue further qualifications. Training and experience in AHI schemes will be looked on favourably.
The successful candidate will be joining a practice where teamwork and communication are highly valued, and where professional development is actively encouraged.
