About the Role
This position plays a pivotal role in spearheading the environmental, health, and safety agenda on site. The individual will be responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining effective management systems that ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and corporate standards.
The ideal candidate will provide expert guidance and support to Site Engineering and EHS Director, Site Leadership Team, managers, and staff to enable effective EHS performance. They will also foster a culture of excellence in EHS, promoting high levels of performance and ensuring alignment with regulatory and corporate requirements.
Key responsibilities include monitoring and reporting EHS performance, connecting with shared lessons and good practices within the site and regional supply chains, and investigating EHS accidents and high potential incidents to identify improved EHS practices.
Qualifications and Skills
* Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Sciences, or Occupational Safety, with further specialist qualifications to at least Diploma level & preferably to a Master level.
* Membership of a relevant and internationally recognized professional organization (e.g. IOSH).
* Experience in managing EHS risks in the fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG), Pharmaceutical, or related high-hazard sector.
