Job: Therapy Assistant Location: North Dublin Contract: Full-Time, Permanent role, 35 hour working week Salary: Commensurate with experience Excel Recruitment is delighted to partner with a leading Transitional Care Unit in North Dublin to recruit a Therapy Assistant on a full-time, permanent basis.
This role offers an excellent opportunity to work as part of a supportive, multidisciplinary team, providing essential assistance to Physiotherapists and Occupational Therapists in delivering high-quality therapy services to patients.

Key Responsibilities Deliver an effective and efficient physiotherapy assistance service on an inpatient basis.
Assist in transferring patients to and from therapy sessions.
Prepare treatment areas, including gym and rehab setup.
Support therapists during patient assessments by assisting with movement, positioning, and stabilisation.
Provide assistance during treatment interventions, particularly where two or more therapists are required.
Carry out prescribed exercise programmes with patients and document all interventions accurately.
Mobilise patients and maintain detailed records of progress.
Perform passive range of motion and assisted movement exercises.
Maintain and monitor therapy consumables and equipment.
Foster open communication and a strong working relationship with supervising therapists.
Communicate effectively and appropriately with patients, families, and multidisciplinary colleagues.
Adhere to confidentiality and patient information management standards.
Provide personal care assistance to patients as required.
Essential Requirements: Relevant 3rd Level Qualification in Occupational Therapy, Physiotherapy, Post Injury Therapy, Rehabilitation, or equivalent.
1-2 years' experience in a similar role.
In the process of obtaining CORU registration (desirable) Compassionate and patient-centred approach to care.
Strong communication and teamwork skills.
Knowledge of Therapy techniques, patient safety, and infection control.
Excellent organisational and documentation skills.
