Key Responsibilities:
* Pre-Operational Oversight:
Ensure all production lines are properly inspected and approved prior to the start of daily operations.
* Product Quality Leadership:
Oversee and validate sensory evaluations and quality assessments of seafood products to ensure standards are consistently met.
* Equipment Accuracy & Calibration:
Ensure daily calibration of scales, thermometers, and monitoring equipment; verify accuracy and address discrepancies.
* Temperature Control Management:
Monitor and review temperature checks throughout production to maintain product safety and regulatory compliance.
* GMP Enforcement:
Lead by example and ensure strict adherence to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs across the facility.
* Food Safety & Quality Assurance:
Identify, escalate, and resolve food safety or quality issues promptly to prevent risks to consumers and the business.
* HACCP Documentation & Records:
Ensure all HACCP-related records are completed accurately, reviewed, and properly filed in accordance with regulatory requirements.
* Sample Monitoring & Verification:
Oversee the collection and analysis of product samples to confirm compliance with specifications and quality standards.
* Regulatory & Company Compliance:
Ensure full compliance with food safety regulations, customer requirements, and company policies at all times.
* Team Guidance & Accountability:
Train, coach, and support team members to uphold food safety, quality, and operational standards.
Required Skills/Abilities:
* Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
* Ability to work in a dynamic team environment.
* proficiency in using computers and related software.
* pHACCP certification (preferred but not required).
Education and Experience:
· Level 6/7 preferred.
· Experience in manufacturing, preferably with a food safety background.
Physical Requirements:
· Ability to lift 20-30KGs, occasionally up to 50 KGs
