The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing a site-wide EHS management system, ensuring compliance with ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 standards. This includes leading the development of policies and procedures, conducting risk assessments, and providing training to employees.
Key Responsibilities:
* Develop and implement a site-wide EHS management system
* Lead the development of policies and procedures
* Conduct risk assessments and provide recommendations for improvement
* Provide training to employees on EHS policies and procedures
This role also involves acting as the site's key liaison with local health & safety authorities and regulators, supporting inspections, audits and compliance activities.
The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with employees at all levels of the organization.
In addition to these responsibilities, this role will involve overseeing hazard identification, risk assessments and incident investigations, driving corrective and preventive actions to completion.
Other duties will include coordinating contractor management and ensuring adherence to site policies, safe systems of work and regulatory requirements.
Requirements:
* Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Health and Safety or related field
* 5+ years of experience in EHS management
* Strong knowledge of ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 standards
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
