Company Description: At Vital Healthcare we provide the medical devices, medicines and diagnostic products that help healthcare professionals and patients across the Island of Ireland and the UK manage illness and restore health.
Our brands in Ireland include Fannin & Medisource.
The Warehouse Manager oversees daily warehouse operations, including receiving, storage, order picking, packing, and dispatch of pharmaceutical goods.
They lead a team of five, managing recruitment, training, performance, and ensuring compliance with GMP/GDP standards.
The role involves process improvements, inventory management, and collaboration with logistics and quality teams to resolve supply-chain issues and maintain adherence to safety policies.
Principal Duties And Responsibilities
Oversee day-to-day warehouse operations, including receiving, storage, order picking, packing, and dispatch of pharmaceutical goods.
Identify opportunities to streamline warehouse processes and improve operational efficiency.
Manage cycle counts, stock reconciliation, and inventory optimisation activities.
Ensure that warehouse equipment is maintained according to manufacturers' recommendations and regulatory standards.
Maintain a safe and clean warehouse environment.
Provide direction and guidance to the Warehouse Team in managing their daily work priorities.
Ensure the team is trained and competent in their areas of responsibility and adheres to all company safety policies.
Manage the full employee lifecycle for the team, including recruitment, training & development, absence management, and performance management.
Recognise and celebrate success on a team and individual level.
Collaborate with other departments, including logistics and procurement, to schedule deliveries and ensure seamless operations.
Resolve supply-chain issues or delays in conjunction with logistics & customer services.
Work with Quality & Regulatory to ensure adherence to GMP/GDP standards and internal SOPs across all supply-chain processes.
Liaise and interact with suppliers, customers, and service providers as required.
Experience & Profile
Minimum of 35 years experience in a warehouse management role, preferably within the pharmaceutical or regulated industry.
Experience in people management with a willingness to support developing teams.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to build internal/external relationships at all levels.
Strong organisational, analytical and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
Proactive and motivated approach, with a view to implementing continuous improvement and best-practice processes.
Experience with Stock Management System Sage and Microsoft Office, including Excel.
Other Information
Full-time, permanent role.
Available to work beyond normal business hours as required.
Full clean driving licence recommended.
