Job Overview
The role of Mechanical Technician involves carrying out production, plant, lab and facility maintenance activities. This includes process development, production troubleshooting, process validation and equipment validation as necessary.
Key Responsibilities
* Perform routine maintenance tasks to ensure equipment is functioning properly.
* Develop and implement maintenance procedures in conjunction with the process engineer or process engineering manager.
* Comply with established Standard Operating Procedures during maintenance activities.
* Participate in equipment and facility validations as required.
* Contribute to the development of engineering systems through continuous improvement initiatives.
Requirements
* Holds a recognized mechanical qualification (e.g., National Craft Certificate).
* Has experience in a medical device or pharmaceutical industry, preferably with PLC and pneumatics systems.
* Possesses strong electro-mechanical background and knowledge of automated systems.

A skilled mechanical technician with a strong background in electro-mechanical systems and automation. Experienced in working with PLC and pneumatics systems, with a good understanding of laboratory equipment. Able to work independently and as part of a team to resolve complex technical issues. Possesses excellent communication and problem-solving skills, and can document work accurately.
