Bar Manager required for a very busy Irish Bar & Restaurant in Zurich, SwitzerlandThe ideal candidate will work in conjunction with the Pub Manager, Service Manager, Head Chef and the F&B team leaders in order to develop menus and action plans that will directly improve the operation. You will lead by example and develop a team focused and motivated to perform at the highest standards of customer care. You will manage and provide support to the food and beverage team and ensure that service standards are met to the highest quality.The Role:Developing a high-performing bar operation and delivering drinks and service that match the quality of our food in conjunction with the General Manager, Service Manager and the Head Chef that is aligned with company strategy for the business and follow through.Lead and inspire the bar team to deliver outstanding drinks and warm, confident serviceOwn the day-to-day running of the bar, ensuring consistency, pace and quality every serviceResolve conflicts and issues where necessaryTrain and develop bartenders, head bartenders and barbacks, assuring a professional manner and keep up to date with events, local attractions and activitiesTo manage SOP's in all food and beverage areas with regard to implementation and updating.Manage bar stock, ordering, wastage and cost controlAs a member of the Management Team, you must be willing to carry out duties outside of your specific job if called upon to do so.Work closely with the wider management team to drive sales and guest satisfactionBe a visible leader on the floor and behind the bar, especially during busy servicesThis role reports into the General Manager.Skills/ExperienceIn depth knowledge of the Gastro pub trade and late night venues from an operational viewpoint.Strong knowledge of menu composition, designing and engineeringStrong knowledge of cocktails, wines, spirits and craft beerA passion for delivering exceptional food & beverage experience to all patronsMonitor food & beverage sales regarding discounts, promotions etc.Well presented and highly organised with a calm dispositionDemonstrate ability to resolve problems and conflict, and work efficiently under pressure at all timesDemonstrate success in the food and beverage industry, and an ability to meet financial targetsAt least 3 years of proven and progressive experience in a similar roleKnowledge of food & beverage marketing and promotional techniquesWe are seeking an individual that possesses strong charisma and personality.
