Job Title: Dementia Care Specialist
We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Dementia Care Specialist to join our multidisciplinary team. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in providing neurocognitive assessment, diagnosis, and management of individuals with dementia.
Key Responsibilities:
* Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients with cognitive impairment, including those at a young age
* Provide biomarker-based diagnosis of dementia in a timely manner, including running a lumber puncture clinic
* Collaborate with primary care providers to manage patients once a diagnosis is made
* Support research initiatives within the unit, including participating in clinical drug trials and grant applications
* Fulfill key performance indicators for the National Dementia Office
Requirements:
* Bachelor's degree in Medicine or equivalent qualification
* Completed Basic Specialty Training in General Medicine
* Clinical experience in Neurology, Geriatric Medicine, or related field
* Possession of MRCP/MRCPI
* Proficiency with lumber puncture and awareness of patient safety and risk management issues
