Full-Time Dementia Advisor Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Full-Time Dementia Advisor to join our team. As a key point of contact, you will provide crucial support to individuals concerned about cognitive health or living with a dementia diagnosis, as well as their families and friends.


About the Role:

* Act as a primary point of contact for individuals and families affected by dementia, offering practical assistance, advice, emotional support, and accurate information.
* Direct individuals and families to appropriate services and help them navigate the health and social care systems effectively.


Responsibilities:

1. Support individuals throughout all stages of the dementia journey, from diagnosis through to end-of-life.
2. Provide expert guidance on community care services and facilitate access to relevant resources.
3. Collaborate with healthcare professionals, social workers, and other stakeholders to ensure comprehensive support for individuals and families.


Requirements:

* A primary degree in a relevant health or social care discipline.
* Strong understanding of dementia and its impacts, including its effects on individuals, families, and caregivers.
* Practical experience working with individuals with dementia, preferably in a community care setting.
* Familiarity with the community care sector and a commitment to ongoing professional development.
* Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse groups.
