Like how Stripe enables developers to add payments to their platform and Unity enables you to build world-class games, Embeddable is the end-to-end developer platform for building seamless, lightning-fast customer-facing analytics directly into your product.
As a developer, adding a couple of charts to your online platform is easy. Scaling analytics to tens of thousands of end-users, who all have differing data needs and data questions, is a hard problem. Embeddable gives you the infrastructure and tools to rapidly build out your interactive in-product analytics in days, not months, and empowers your team to iterate on your analytics at the pace your customers need.
Who are you?
At Embeddable, quality is a shared responsibility, buuuuuut we're ready to take it up a notch We're looking for a Senior QA Engineer who thrives on building efficient test systems, can flex between automation and hands-on testing when needed.
This isn't a "gatekeeper" role. It's for someone who sees QA as a partner in the product development lifecycle. You'll work closely with engineers, product managers, and designers to ensure our platform feels bulletproof, even at speed.
You'll be in constant conversation with engineering and product to define and implement our quality insurance strategy. We value clear, thoughtful communication and you'll bring that into every interaction

The magic you'll perform
* Take ownership of our test automation suite
You'll maintain and improve our existing frameworks (Playwright + Cucumber), and ensure automated tests are tightly integrated into our CI/CD pipelines.
* Balance automation with hands-on testing
While we aim for smart automation, you'll also roll up your sleeves to perform manual tests when context calls for it, especially for new features or edge cases.
* Help define what "quality" means at Embeddable
You'll contribute to our quality strategy and bring a voice to risk-based testing, prioritising impact and user experience over theoretical perfection.
* Support production issue resolution and learning
When customer-impacting issues occur, work with engineering, product, and customer-facing teams to help clarify and assess issues, support validation, and contribute to post-incident learnings and preventative improvements.
* Support confident releases
Work with engineering and product to ensure releases are well-tested, observable, and reversible.
* Mentor through influence, not authority
Share QA best practices, lead by example in code reviews and retros, and help raise the bar for everyone in the product and engineering team.
What you already have
Hard skills:
* 8+ years in QA roles, with experience in both automated and manual testing
* Hands-on with Cucumber and Playwright
* AI-savviness, curiosity and enthusiasm - proven optimisation of your workflows through AI
* Strong experience with CI/CD pipelines, including test integration
* Skilled in API testing and risk-based testing approaches
* Comfortable writing SQL queries (PostgreSQL especially)
* Bonus points if you've dabbled in:
o Performance/load testing
o Testing in Docker/Kubernetes-based environments
o Basic React
Soft skills:
* A clear communicator who adapts your message for technical and non-technical audiences
* Excellent active listening skills, seeking first to understand
* You're product-minded, not just a technologist. You ask: how will this affect the user?
* Curious by nature. You chase clarity and love learning.
* Dependable and self-directed. You do what you say you'll do, and then some
