With extensive operations in Germany, this Irish business has pressed forward against immense competition to be recognised as a foremost company in this quickly emerging industry. We have just completed a major acquistion which quadruples the size of our rental fleet and forges new markets that will eventually encompass more countries in Europe and the USA.
A senior leadership opportunity has arisen for an experienced (or developing) CFO to join our growing transport/technology services business. This is a strategic and hands-on role with responsibility for shaping financial direction, strengthening governance and supporting our organisation through its next phase of planned development. The business is fully funded to 2028.
About the Role
Reporting to the CEO and Board of Directors, you will oversee financial strategy, cashflow planning, forecasting, reporting, audit, risk management and systems improvement. You will play a key role in long-term planning, business modelling and providing commercial insight to support decision-making across the organisation. As the business has a strong focus on M&A, you will lead fundraising whilst supporting an acquisition and exit strategy.

Key Responsibilities
* Lead long-term financial planning and three-year modelling
* Oversee cashflow, treasury, FX and risk management
* Manage budgeting, forecasting and monthly reporting cycles
* Deliver board packs, leadership reports and KPI dashboards
* Ensure audit, tax and legal compliance across all jurisdictions
* Lead and develop a small professional Finance Team
* Strengthen systems, processes and financial controls
* Support due diligence, grant applications and business expansion
* Be a core part of any future finance raising, acquisitions or exit strategy.
* Provide board level representation and help manage senior stakeholder and investor relationships.
* Drive the company's financial planning and analysis, to provide high quality forecasting.
* Perform risk management by analysing the organization's liabilities and investments.
* Ensure cash flow is appropriate for the organization's operations.
Experience Required
* Proven experience as Finance Director, CFO or Senior Financial Controller
* ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualification
* Strong cashflow management, modelling and analytical capability
* Experience within a services-led, technology or scaling business
* Strong governance, reporting and operational finance experience
* Effective leadership, communication and stakeholder engagement skills
