CPL Recruitment is pleased to assist our client in recruiting for the role of Maintenance Manager. The ideal candidate will have experience managing all aspects of a maintenance team within a GMP environment.
Role
* Lead and manage the maintenance engineering team.
* Coordinate with the Site Production Scheduler to plan maintenance access, minimizing downtime.
* Collaborate with the QC Manager to schedule maintenance for QC Lab equipment, ensuring minimal disruption.
* Implement a workload planner to monitor and balance maintenance activities.
* Ensure maintenance is completed within scheduled deadlines for equipment, utilities, and facilities.
* Assign and prioritize tasks for maintenance engineers and contingent workers to maintain validated equipment supporting production.
* Manage key performance metrics and take immediate corrective actions when necessary.
* Develop and execute preventive and predictive maintenance programs for GMP-critical assets such as HVAC, WFI, Clean Steam, autoclaves, and reactors.
* Ensure compliance with EU GMP, EHS, and other regulatory standards during maintenance activities.
* Support regulatory inspections (HPRA, EMA, FDA) and internal audits; lead investigations and CAPA processes related to maintenance.
* Prepare departmental budgets and KPIs to monitor maintenance performance.
* Lead root cause analysis and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance equipment reliability and uptime.
* Support the introduction of new equipment or technology, including FAT/SAT, commissioning, and validation phases.
Requirements
* Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
* At least 5 years of experience in maintenance management, including people management.
* Experience in a GMP-regulated pharmaceutical or biotech environment is preferred.
