The role involves collaboration with internal stakeholders and external partners to ensure successful specification, procurement, and delivery of equipment for operational readiness. The programme is expected to last approximately 6 years, offering strong continuity prospects. The position is on a contract basis with potential for longevity.Benefits30 days annual leave35-hour working weekHybrid working arrangementsKey ResponsibilitiesDevelop and implement the equipping strategy in line with project timelines.Work with departmental leads to define equipment specifications.Manage procurement processes ensuring compliance with public regulations.Seek cost-saving opportunities and drive value-for-money solutions.Coordinate procurement and commissioning plans across workstreams.Support readiness assessments and operational transition decisions.Maintain the Procurement Project Management System (PPMS).Manage risks, issues, and dependencies within the scope.Engage stakeholders for smooth delivery.RequirementsBachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline.Experience with eTenders.Proven experience managing equipment procurement in complex projects.Strong understanding of Irish public procurement policies.Experience with multidisciplinary teams and large procurement cycles.DesirableProfessional project management qualification (PRINCE2, CAPM, or similar).Experience working for a public body.Excellent organizational, negotiation, and communication skills.Proficiency in Microsoft Office and procurement systems.
