Overview
As a Quantity Surveyor, you will work within and assist the commercial & construction team to ensure successful project delivery, maintain relationships, maximize commercial returns, and manage risk.

Responsibilities
* Evaluate and agree project scope variations with contractors and clients.
* Compile and agree final accounts.
* Report to the Project Commercial Team.
* Support the SQS & MQS commercial functions, assisting with and taking responsibility for preparing tenders, analyzing, selecting subcontractors, negotiating, finalizing orders, and managing financial and commercial aspects to Final Account completion.
* Maintain site records and document control.
* Keep site measurement records.
* Assist in preparing forecasts, targets, and CV reconciliations.
* Perform valuations.
* Prepare variations with proper records and details, and agree as works progress.
* Update projected Final Account and submit timely reports.
* Liaise with and influence the site management team commercially.
* Maintain and protect JSS's commercial and contractual entitlements.
* Understand and actively participate in CVR processes.
* Review and consider risks and opportunities.
* Develop understanding of insurances and warranties.
* Be involved in cash management to ensure good practices.
* Support tender processes as required.
* Manage and oversee AQS & TQS, checking and taking responsibility for their work.
* Maintain site records and control documents.
Experience
* Demonstrate clear written and verbal communication skills.
* Effectively utilize various technology platforms.
* Be fully familiar with the Standard Method of Measurement.
* Show ownership and commercial awareness.
* Manage time effectively, with strong organizational, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.
Qualifications
* Degree-level education with progress toward relevant professional accreditation.
* JCT certification.
* Proficiency in letter and report writing, negotiation, CVRs.
* Complete a 2-day Safety appreciation course.
* Understanding of contract and commercial principles.
* Membership or recognition by CIOB is advantageous.
