The National Treasury Management Agency (NTMA) offers an exciting opportunity for talented and motivated graduates to join the Funding and Debt Management unit on a 23-month Associate Programme.


Job Description

The programme is designed for individuals with a degree in Accounting/Finance/Economics/Commerce or a related discipline. The placement will sit in the Funding and Debt Management unit, which is responsible for borrowing on behalf of the Government and managing the National Debt.

The work of the associate will vary across rotations, including primary, secondary, cash, operations, fiscal, economics, and retail. Associates will have the opportunity to develop a solid knowledge base of the NTMA FDM unit and the wider NTMA.

FDM performs several other functions including prudential management of Exchequer Cash, daily short-term cash management operations, and producing National Debt Service and National Debt estimates.


Required Skills and Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess excellent analytical skills, strong interpersonal, communication, and organisational skills, as well as a methodical approach to completing assigned tasks. They should also be able to form balanced and objective views.

A relevant third-level qualification or equivalent professional qualification is required. Strong Microsoft skills, particularly in Excel and PowerPoint, are also essential.
