Job Description:
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated AIM Support Worker to join our team. This role is part of the Access and Inclusion Model (AIM), designed to support children with additional needs to participate fully in our early years setting. The successful candidate will work alongside our educators to provide tailored support, ensuring that every child enjoys a positive and inclusive learning experience.
Key Responsibilities:
* Work closely with the early years team to support the inclusion of children with additional needs.
* Assist in the implementation of Individual Support Plans (ISP) to help children reach their developmental goals.
* Foster a nurturing and inclusive environment that promotes social and emotional development.
* Adapt activities and learning experiences to suit the needs of individual children.
* Collaborate with parents, early childhood educators, and external professionals to ensure a consistent approach to care and education.
* Maintain accurate records and provide feedback on children's progress.
* Promote equality, respect, and a positive approach to diversity in the setting.
Requirements:
* Relevant qualification in Early Childhood Care and Education (QQI Level 5 or higher) or equivalent.
* Experience working with children with additional needs in an early years setting (preferred but not essential).
* Knowledge of the Access and Inclusion Model (AIM) and best practices for inclusive education.
* Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
* A patient, caring, and enthusiastic approach to supporting young children.
* Garda Vetting clearance and up-to-date first aid training (or willingness to obtain).
* Own Transport
