We are seeking an experienced Engineering Project Manager to lead the delivery of complex brownfield MEP and infrastructure projects within a live manufacturing environment.
This role offers full end-to-end ownership of the project lifecycle, with a strong emphasis on stakeholder engagement, operational integration, and safe delivery within an active site.
The position is ideally suited to an individual with a background in M&E or industrial project delivery, with significant experience managing projects in operational (non-greenfield) environments.
Key Responsibilities
Project Delivery
Lead projects from initial scope definition through to commissioning and final handover
Deliver works within a live manufacturing environment, managing shutdowns, tie-ins, and phased installations
Manage project schedules, budgets, risks, and contractor performance
Ensure all works are delivered safely and in compliance with site and regulatory standards
Stakeholder Management (Core Focus)
Act as the primary interface between operations, engineering, and external contractors
Build and maintain strong working relationships to minimise disruption to production
Coordinate all activities in line with operational constraints
Lead project meetings and ensure clear, consistent communication across stakeholders
Construction Delivery (Live Environment)
Oversee on-site construction within an operational facility (brownfield setting)
Manage permit-to-work systems, isolations, and adherence to safety protocols
Coordinate daily contractor activities and monitor progress against programme
Project Scope
Site infrastructure and utility upgrades
Electrical systems (including transformers and distribution)
HVAC and ventilation systems
Process and packaging line installations
Plantroom and utility modifications
Technical & Commercial Management
Coordinate multidisciplinary engineering design (MEP) and execution
Review technical documentation and ensure buildability/constructability
Manage procurement processes, contractor selection, and cost/variation control
Oversee testing, commissioning, and integration of systems
Ensure full project documentation is completed
Support smooth handover to operations and relevant stakeholders
Requirements
10+ years’ experience in Engineering / Project Management roles
Proven experience delivering projects within live manufacturing or industrial environments essential
Strong track record delivering brownfield (non-greenfield) projects
Background in M&E, utilities, or industrial project delivery preferred
Experience across infrastructure, HVAC, electrical, or process systems
Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
Strong understanding of construction safety and live operational constraints
