A leading multidisciplinary engineering consultancy is seeking a Senior Structural Engineer to join their growing team in Dublin.
This is an excellent opportunity to take a lead role on technically challenging building projects within the pharmaceutical and industrial sectors. The successful candidate will play a key role in delivering structural design packages, mentoring junior engineers, and contributing to high-quality project delivery within a collaborative, multidisciplinary environment.
Projects
Structural design for pharmaceutical and industrial facility developments
New build and upgrade projects across complex operational environments
Multidisciplinary building projects involving civil, structural, MEP and architectural teams
Design and delivery of reinforced concrete, steel, masonry and timber structures
Role
Lead the development of structural design packages from concept through to delivery
Prepare detailed design calculations, drawings and technical specifications
Manage small to medium-sized projects or defined work packages
Coordinate with architects, engineers and BIM/CAD teams during design stages
Contribute to project planning, programme management and delivery timelines
Prepare tender documentation and technical reports
Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior and graduate engineers
Ensure designs meet relevant standards, client requirements and quality expectations
Requirements
Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering
5+ years’ experience within a consultancy or similar environment
Chartered Engineer (Engineers Ireland, Institution of Civil Engineers or Institution of Structural Engineers) or actively working towards chartership
Strong knowledge of Eurocodes and British Standards across concrete, steel, masonry and timber
Solid understanding of Irish Building Regulations and construction practices
Experience with structural design software such as TEKLA, Tedds, Robot, STAAD Pro or similar
Strong communication, organisational and technical skills
