The Role:
* Maintain site DAFM accreditation and ensure ongoing customer approvals through effective management of the QMS.
* Lead external and internal audits, including those conducted by DAFM, customers, and third-party certifiers.
* Develop and manage a robust internal audit program to ensure compliance with industry regulations and company standards.
* Own and maintain QMS documentation, ensuring timely review and alignment with current legislation and best practices.
* Investigate and manage all non-conformances arising from audits, customer complaints, and supplier issues.
* Oversee customer communications relating to quality, including handling requests, feedback, and complaints.
* Prepare quality performance data and present findings at management review meetings.
* Champion a culture of continuous improvement, collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive best practices.
The Person:
* In-depth understanding of Quality Assurance principles within the FMCG sector.
* Strong technical expertise in high-risk production environments and knowledge of relevant food safety standards.
* Proven experience conducting audits and driving corrective/preventative actions.
* Excellent communication skills with the ability to build strong relationships across departments and with external stakeholders.
* High attention to detail, methodical approach, and a results-driven mindset.
* Proficient in quality systems software and general IT tools.
Qualifications and Experience:
Essential:
* Minimum 2 years’ experience in a Quality Manager role within FMCG.
* Demonstrable track record in managing audits and delivering measurable improvements in quality systems.
* Strong leadership skills with the ability to influence and support cross-functional teams.
Desirable:
* Level 4 Listeria Management qualification.
