Title:Purchasing & Stock Control Specialist - Millstreet, Co. CorkCompany: Noel Recruitment Group (Client: Top Food Ingredient Company)Location: Millstreet, County CorkSalary: €40,000 - €50,000 per annumEmployment Type:Full-time, Permanent, On-siteRole Overview:Noel Recruitment Group is partnered with a leading food ingredient client who is seeking a Purchasing & Stock Control Specialist to join their team. The successful candidate will oversee day-to-day purchasing and stock control activities, maintain compliance with internal policies and procurement regulations, and work closely with suppliers and internal teams to support cost and efficiency goals.Key Responsibilities:Generate all purchase orders timely and accurately; track shipments and resolve non-conformances.Collaborate with Sales & Operations to proactively avoid stock-outs.Analyse supply and demand to forecast inventory needs and minimise stock shortages or excesses.Maintain inventory levels in line with agreed targets.Ensure all purchasing & stock control SOPs are strictly adhered to.Liaise with warehouse management to conduct stock-taking activities efficiently.Identify and resolve supply chain issues including shortages, overstock, and invoice discrepancies.Generate regular reports and provide insights to improve stock control and purchasing activity.Support continuous improvement initiatives within Operations and Supply Chain teamsRequired Skills & Qualifications:Minimum of 3 years experience in procurement, stock control, or supply chain.Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.Proficiency in ERP and inventory management software; advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP).Strong communication and interpersonal skills for collaboration with vendors, clients, and internal teams.Attention to detail, accuracy, and ability to meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.Desirable Skills:Strategic sourcing and supplier relationship managementProcess improvement and reporting experienceExperience in food production or FMCG supply chainsDesired Skills and ExperienceRequired Skills & Qualifications:* Minimum of 3 years experience in procurement, stock control, or supply chain.* Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.* Proficiency in ERP and inventory management software; advanced Excel skills(pivot tables, VLOOKUP).* Strong communication and interpersonal skills for collaboration with vendors,clients, and internal teams.* Attention to detail, accuracy, and ability to meet tight deadlines in a fast-pacedenvironment.Desirable Skills:* Strategic sourcing and supplier relationship management* Process improvement and reporting experience* Experience in food production or FMCG supply chains
