Role Description
The Water Project Engineer will be involved with the Design aspects of the water projects and be responsible for managing projects from Design Stage to project completion. The role involves assessing existing water schemes, preparing preliminary and design reports, liaising with stakeholders, and producing detailed design and tender documentation. The ideal candidate will have strong technical knowledge, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple projects and contractors efficiently.
Main Responsibilities:
* Co-ordination and working alongside Design Manager to produce Contract Documentation.
* Manage/control the project Contractors to ensure the works are carried out to the contract requirements and specifications.
* Collect detailed information on consumer numbers, types and locations associated with the water Distribution mains network.
* Obtain information on the existing Water Mains distribution networks, including fitting locations, locations of mains, mains sizes, fitting locations and types of fittings.
* Obtain information on sources of supply, reservoirs and mains Booster Stations.
* Consult with relevant authorities and Utility companies, Archaeologists and Environmental consultants to identify potential issues along proposed water mains routes.
* Compile full tender documentation based on completed design drawings.
* Schedule projects to tight deadlines and deliver projects on time
Qualifications

* Degree qualified in Civil Engineering
* A Master's degree would be beneficial but not essential.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

* Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

* Control of contractors in meeting design requirements
* Understanding of CESMM

QEHS MS Responsibilities
* Comply with SDS Quality, Environmental, Health & Safety (QEHS) Management System requirements, i.e. perform work according to process documents and procedures, and maintain document information/complete department forms/records as required.
* Understand and apply the SDS Quality, Environmental, Health & Safety policy statements in all aspects of work.
* Contribute towards achieving company's SDS QEHS objectives.
* Ensure that the needs and requirements of the company's internal staff and customers are understood and delivered.
* Help develop and improve the company's internal processes and management system by reporting corrective actions, updates and improvement ideas.
