Document Controller - Data CentresFortivum is now seeking an experienced Document Controller who is responsible for managing, maintaining, and safeguarding all central documentation for our data centre development programme across EMEA. Candidates with Construction Project documentation experience preferred.OfficeLocation:Dublin, IrelandHybrid Work:YesEmployment Type:Full-timeDuties:Document Management & ControlEstablish and maintain the DE&C EMEA central and project document control systems (currently using SharePoint).Ensure proper classification, indexing, and archiving of all incoming and outgoing documents (designs, contracts, permits, reports, RFIs, submittals, etc.).Track revisions and maintain version control, ensuring only current and approved documents are in circulation.Compliance & GovernanceImplement document control procedures aligned with quality management system and ISO standards.Ensure compliance with data security protocols, particularly for confidential commercial, technical, and security-sensitive information.Support internal and external audits by providing accurate document registers and traceability.Coordination & CommunicationAct as the central point of contact for document exchange between client, design consultants, contractors, and suppliers.Distribute controlled documents in line with project workflows and approval hierarchies.Establish version control of existing central documentation and a process of periodic reviews and approvals.Project SupportSupport the team by providing accurate document status reports (e.g., outstanding approvals, overdue submissions, revision cycles).Prepare documentation packages for milestone approvals, permits, and handover to operations.Occasional travel for in-person meetings.Requirements:Strong knowledge of electronic document management systems (EDMS) and collaborative project platforms.Understanding of construction project documentation, particularly desired within data centre projects (design drawings, MEP submittals, commissioning documents, QA/QC records).Attention to detail, organisation, and ability to manage large document volumes across multiple concurrent projects.Familiarity with ISO 9001, ISO 19650, ISO information security), and data protection practices.
