Job Title: Maintenance Fitter

\

This is a key role within our organisation, responsible for all mechanical maintenance of process, utility, and facility equipment to support manufacturing operations and maximise asset performance.

\

The successful candidate will have a strong background in mechanical maintenance, with the ability to work on own initiative and as part of a team. The ideal candidate will possess demonstrable specialised technical skill across mechanical areas including pump repairs, valve repairs, filter replacements, pipe fabrication and general mechanical fabrication.

\

The working week is on a four cycle 12-hour shift rotation, providing a unique opportunity for those who value work-life balance and flexibility.

Key Responsibilities:

\

1. Carry out all work safely, cost effectively and to the highest GMP standards
\
2. Carry out all routine and non-routine mechanical tasks delegated, according to appropriate procedures and standards
\
3. Ensure Maintenance Manager is aware of any problems on site as soon as possible
\
4. Execute site preventive maintenance routines
\
5. Repairing equipment malfunctions while identifying and resolving reoccurring downtime/inefficient operational issues
\
6. Assist in construction, commissioning, and qualification of equipment
\
7. Involvement in developing maintenance procedures and equipment files
\
8. Assist with generation, review, and revision of maintenance documentation as necessary
\
9. Selecting of appropriate spare parts to ensure maximum availability of equipment
\
10. Operating utilities and equipment safely and efficiently, whilst maximising uptime
\
11. Collecting and analysing equipment data to report on equipment performance
\
12. Assist with rolling shutdown preparation and execution
\
13. Train other staff in department procedures and techniques, as required
\
14. Troubleshoot, maintain, and support Utility and Manufacturing equipment to enable the manufacture of quality products
\
15. Responsible and accountable for the safe accomplishment of all activities within the maintenance team whilst following all statutory, environmental, regulatory (cGMP), corporate, site and team practices
\
16. Report any EHS incidents and/or near misses
\
17. Ensure housekeeping standards are maintained to a high standard
\
18. Assist engineering in executing projects
\
19. Perform all necessary maintenance PMs and repairs
\
20. Attend any meetings deemed necessary to ensure continuity within the maintenance department, during normal working hours, subject to flexibility at start or end of the working day
\
21. Support a culture of Continuous Improvement
\
22. Any other duties as directed by your manager
\
23. The ideal candidate must possess the following qualifications: Qualified fitter with a recognised apprenticeship essential Minimum of 5 years' experience post apprentice experience within a similar role Possess demonstrable specialised technical skill across mechanical areas o Pump repairs (mechanical seals, motor replacement, etc.) o Valve repairs (seal changing, actuator replacement, etc.) o Filter replacements o Pipe fabrication o General mechanical fabrication Ability to work on own initiative Working week: The working week is on a four cycle 12-hour shift rotation.
