Job Description:
Joints SC PMO, SI&D is recruiting for a Project Planning Specialist, a global role located in Raynham, MA; Warsaw, IN; Cork, Ireland; Suzhou, China; Blackpool/ Leeds, UK.
The PMO Project Planning Specialist will oversee the planning phase of key strategic projects within the JOINTS Portfolio. Responsibilities include developing, implementing, and training in scheduling methodology and tools, and coordinating the project scheduling team to support complex business-critical projects.
Key Responsibilities:
* Owns contracts and manages Project Schedulers, ensuring high performance aligned with J&J standards.
* Implements a consistent project scheduling process across the Joints Platform for capital projects over $200k, utilizing fully integrated risk-assessed schedules on a central platform.
* Conducts training on project planning and scheduling tools to enhance organizational skills and project management efficiency.
* Manages schedule development for strategic projects, including analysis, synthesis, and qualitative evaluation of project schedules.
* Performs schedule risk assessments, Monte Carlo analysis, and implements mechanisms to measure and report progress.
* Analyzes variances, forecasts impacts of changes, and employs schedule compression techniques to mitigate delays.
* Drives improvements in project planning methodology and tools, aligning with industry standards.
* Facilitates communication between the global scheduling team and other departments, sharing insights and best practices.
* Ensures compliance with health, safety, environmental regulations, and company policies.
Qualifications:
* Bachelor's degree required; B.S. in Engineering, Supply Chain, Operations, Data Science, or related field preferred.
* At least 5 years of experience in project planning, control, and management.
* Expertise in scheduling tools like MS Project or Primavera P6.
* Leadership experience and strong project management skills.
* Knowledge of risk evaluation and management.
Other qualities include flexibility, strong influencing and problem-solving skills, decision-making capabilities, and excellent planning and organizing skills. Up to 10% travel required.
