About Your New Job:
As a Shift Maintenance Technician, you will:
Undertake Electrical and Mechanical troubleshooting on the Bread production lines and equipment.
Perform Electro-mechanical repairs on high-speed, PLC-controlled Bakery plant, handling, and packaging equipment.
Conduct preventive and predictive maintenance routines using the site CMMS (PEMAC).
Support the Production Team in achieving targets and closely monitor line and machine performance.
Handle repairs to mechanical and control systems equipment, including pneumatics and hydraulics.
Demonstrate initiative in detecting and acting on faults with immediate repair when required.
Work closely with the production team and maintain cleanliness in the workshop and stores.
Participate in cross-skilling training and development and troubleshoot using PLC programs.
Be flexible for overtime when needed.
What Skills You Need:
Strong Mechanical/Electrical background with trades qualification.
Minimum 3 years' experience in a similar role in regulated manufacturing environment (outside of apprenticeship).
Aptitude for process awareness and diagnostic/trouble-shooting experience in a Hi-volume environment.
Multi-skilled/cross-skilled ethos with good teamwork and initiative.
Mechanical and electrical maintenance experience and/or qualifications.
Excellent awareness of quality, health, and safety, with experience in planned preventative maintenance.
Skilled in fault finding and problem-solving in high-speed mechanical systems, electrical systems, automation, and PLC-based control systems.
Good PC skills and excellent communication abilities.
Previous experience in FMCG/Food manufacturing is advantageous.
