Due to ongoing expansion caused by transfer of new products into Ireland and optimisation of existing products, the following opportunity has arisen.RoleReporting to the Engineering Manager, the Development Engineering Technician selected will have responsibility for general support to the design group engineers. This typically will involveSetting up test equipment for use by the engineersBuilding of prototype circuits & controllersDesign verification testing of circuits / controllers under minimal engineering directionDesign and build of test boxes for cards and top level assembliesSupport group with project documentation and test report generationMaintain older unreleased productsTroubleshoot and identify problems on new designsModify prototypes after problem identification and test for resolutionContribute to lab maintenancePurchase, calibration and repair of lab equipmentQualificationsMinimum:Certificate in Electronics EngineeringPreferredPreferred:Diploma in Electronic EngineeringExperienceMinimumTwo years experience in a mixed (analogue, digital & power circuits) test environment.AdvantageExperience of working on design projects.Knowledge of DC/DC CircuitsExperience of working with Brushless Motor and controllersSalaryA salary in line with candidate's experience and ability will be offered.Moog Ireland Ltd is an equal opportunities employer.
