Your new role
A detail-oriented and proactive Bookkeeper to join the finance team on a full-time, permanent basis. This role involves managing day-to-day accounting and bookkeeping functions to ensure accurate financial records and smooth financial operations. You will report to the Finance Director, who will support and advise you, bringing you up to speed to ensure you succeed.
* Debtor & Creditor set up & maintenance
* Processing customer invoices on a daily basis
* Credit Control: ensuring prompt payment receipts
* Liaising with all customers and dealing with any invoice-related issues
* Processing all cash receipts/customer payments and bank lodgements
* Input and maintain all vendor invoices
* Generating payment runs and processing payments through online banking
* Monthly bank account reconciliation
* Credit Card reconciliation
* Preparation of bi-monthly VAT returns
* Processing Vies/Intrastat
* Processing monthly journals on system
* Maintain multicurrency exchange rates
* Maintain accurate filing system
* Liaison with auditors and preparation of files for auditors
* Attend seminars and classes as required
* Perform other duties as requested by Management
What you'll need to succeed
Qualifications
* AAT Accredited
* Other accountancy qualifications or strong experience are an advantage.
Key requirements
* Have a minimum of 1-2 years' experience in a similar role
* Be able to work on your own initiative but also as part of a team
* Have good flexibility and adaptability to changing tasks
* Strong attention to detail
* Can do attitude
* Be able to work with sensitive information and maintain confidentiality at all times
* Have excellent organisational skills to maintain tight deadlines
* Strong communication skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
