DevOps Engineer - Day Rate Contract
Dublin City Centre (2-3 days p/w)
Initial 6 months - extension likely
We are working with a leading banking client based in Dublin city centre who are seeking an experienced DevOps Engineer to join their technology team on a day-rate contract. This is a critical role supporting the build, deployment, and operation of highly secure, scalable systems within a regulated financial environment.
You will work closely with development, security, and infrastructure teams to improve CI/CD pipelines, cloud platforms, and automation capabilities while ensuring stability, performance, and compliance.
The Role
Design, build, and maintain CI/CD pipelines
Automate infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (IaC)
Support and improve cloud-based platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP)
Collaborate with development teams to improve deployment and release processes
Monitor system performance, availability, and reliability
Implement security best practices in line with banking and regulatory standards
Troubleshoot production issues and support incident resolution
Requirements
Strong experience as a DevOps Engineer in enterprise environments
Proven background with CI/CD tools (e.g. Jenkins, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps)
Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation, ARM, etc.)
Containerisation and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes)
Strong Linux experience
Scripting skills (Bash, Python, etc.)
Experience working in regulated or financial services environments is highly desirable
