We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Director of Nursing (DON)/General Manager/Person In Charge (PIC) for our Nursing Home client in Dublin.
Responsibilities Assume complete accountability as the Person in Charge (PIC), as defined by the Health Act of 2007 and HIQA regulations.
Ensure a positive work environment and high morale by exercising strong, visible leadership over employees.
Help create and implement operational and strategic plans for the facility.
Ensure resources are used effectively and efficiently.
Guarantee that residents receive excellent, person-centered care, managing risk assessments, care planning, and the provision of individualized services.
Monitor incident handling, clinical governance, and safety procedures.
Promote ongoing quality improvement efforts.
Strictly adhere to HIQA policies, procedures, and standards.
Lead preparations for and responses to HIQA audits and inspections.
Maintain records and reports mandated by legal requirements.
Requirements Possess an active PIN and be registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland (NMBI).
Have at least three years of managerial experience in a hospital setting within the last six years.
Thorough familiarity with the Health Act of 2007, HIQA standards, and relevant statutory requirements.
Demonstrated managerial and leadership skills in a healthcare environment.
Outstanding interpersonal, communication, and decision-making skills.
Ability to motivate and lead teams to provide high-quality care.
