About Your New Job
As a New Product Development (NPD) Technologist, you will be at the heart of the innovation process, helping bring delicious, high-quality food products from idea to shelf. You'll work cross-functionally with Production, Technical, and Commercial teams to develop both branded and private label products for the Irish and European retail markets.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead and support NPD and EPD projects from concept through to launch.
* Manage NPD processes such as line extensions, pack resizing, and product reformulation.
* Ensure 100% compliance with food safety legislation and customer specifications.
* Liaise directly with key retail customers to deliver custom NPD projects.
* Monitor product and process quality while applying Lean NPD techniques for efficiency.
* Play an active role in supplier selection, benchmarking, and cost modelling.
What Skills You Need to Become NPD Technologist
* A degree in Food Technology, Food Science, or a related discipline.
* A minimum of 1,5 year experience in food manufacturing, FMCG, or a related environment.
* Practical knowledge of BRC standards, HACCP, allergen control, and customer specification systems like TTL, HG, or Igloo.
* Strong project management, communication, and teamwork skills.
* A passion for food, especially seafood, with a strong awareness of food trends and consumer insights.
* Excellent attention to detail, organisation, and problem-solving skills.
