Overview
The Area Sales Manager will be responsible for building relationships with both existing and new customers to grow the Marine business. The successful candidate will meet agreed sales targets, while increasing brand awareness of our Marine sector. The role is based on the road with responsibility for customers in your designated area and will involve extensive travel. This role will cover ALL OF IRELAND.
Responsibilities
* Build and maintain strong relationships with existing customers and develop new accounts in the Marine sector.
* Meet or exceed agreed sales targets and contribute to growth in brand awareness.
* Manage a field-based territory across Ireland with extensive travel to customers.
Qualifications/skills/experience
* Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing or similar (preferable).
* Minimum 3 years field sales experience B2B with a proven personal sales record.
* Proven history of working to and achieving sales budgets/targets.
* Strong working knowledge of Aquaculture industry; Marine navigation (Aids to navigation) is desirable but not essential.
* Fluency in English (verbal and written) and a full clean driving licence.
* Proven track record of project-based sales experience (desirable but not essential).
* Experience with government tenders and use of eTender platform (desirable but not essential).
* Based in Ireland.
* Well-developed IT (MS Office, CRM, ERP, etc.) and administration skills.
* Highly collaborative, organized, detail-oriented with strong multi-tasking ability.
* Strong customer focus and advanced communication, presentation, negotiation and selling skills.
* Strong analytical problem-solving skills.
* Time management and task prioritisation skills.
