Special Education Needs Tutor/Teacher
We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated SEN Tutor/Teacher to work one-to-one with a bright, verbal, and engaging 19-year-old student with Fragile X syndrome and Autism Spectrum Disorder.
* Accompany the student to activities and support her participation where needed.
* Create and deliver an interest-led curriculum (4 hours teaching daily).
* Design weekly learning themes with art projects and CANVA materials.
* Support physical education: swimming, cycling, hill walking, boxing, etc.
* Manage occasional challenging behaviour with skill and empathy.
* Build book and film libraries based on topics studied.
This role is unique and fulfilling. The ideal candidate will have a degree in Education or equivalent experience in Special Education, be a native English speaker, and possess excellent communication & interpersonal skills.
The successful candidate will create and deliver an interest-led curriculum, design weekly learning themes, support physical education, manage challenging behaviour, and build book and film libraries.
